Brian and Paulina had a small, intimate wedding with only their closest friends and family at Ancala Country Club. The golf course was overseeding, so we were able to walk out on the course without getting in anyone’s way. Right after their first dance, we ran outside for a few minutes to get some sunset pictures on the balcony.
Irma and John had a gorgeous small, intimate wedding at the Japanese Friendship Garden! Her son walked her down the aisle. John gave him a gift during the ceremony to include him in the family as well. I love when they bring the children into the ceremony as well!! It really shows that they are committed to the whole family, not just each other! Her son also came along with us during their photos so he could be in some too.
Tricia is from Oceanside and Stefan is from Austria. They met in college and hit it off right away! Since Stefan’s family still lives in Austria, they decided to have a small intimate outdoor wedding at the La Jolla Woman’s Club!! The weather was amazing and was awesome for the outdoor ceremony and dinner. They only went inside to dance and a few events. The outside area where they ate was absolutely gorgeous and relaxing!
They got married a year ago and wanted to have a Small Catholic Church Ceremony. So they got married at Brophy Chapel. Jeremy went to school there, so they were able to get married in the chapel. It’s a very cool old chapel with some nice spots around the property to take pictures.
Their small intimate wedding started at St. Patrick’s Catholic Community Church with some getting ready and a full Catholic Ceremony. We then headed over to Starfire Golf Club for photos. They also had their reception there, but the most important photos to them were of the ceremony, family, wedding party and their photos. So my coverage ended right before the reception started. It threatened rain all day, but we got lucky it didn’t start down pouring until right before the reception when they were all heading inside. They did one of the most fun jumping shots that I’ve seen in awhile, everyone looked pretty believable!!
Jennifer and Matthew had a gorgeous small, intimate wedding at Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch! Instead of a DJ, they had Al Ortiz playing guitar during the reception. They didn’t have a lot of events that needed to be announced, so it was great having the subtle music playing in the background and during their first dances! They are both in the ballet and their first dance looked choreographed because of that. Small, intimate weddings are some of my favorite weddings!
Gina and Dustin had a garden style small intimate wedding at the Boojum Tree! They invited their family and closest friends only. Their small reception had appetizers by Babbo Italian Eatery and a cake cutting only. They took some time to really enjoy the company of their loved ones instead of doing a lot of events.
I photographed Kelly and Derek’s wedding last year in Arizona and this year they got their marriage sealed in the Salt Lake City Mormon Temple. I was thrilled and honored that they asked me to photograph another special day in their lives! It was a very cold and rainy day. We started with pictures outside until Kelly was too cold to continue and then we went inside the Joseph Smith Memorial Building to take a few more photos.
