AETNA’s corporate office contacted me to provided some headshots for a local branch. They were paying for the headshots for any employees that wanted to update theirs. That’s a pretty nice way to get your headshot updated.

Arizona Small Business Association needed a few updated and new headshots for some of their employees. I’ve done some for them in the past, so they asked me to come back. This is s great organization for small businesses!
They wanted to do a pregnancy announcement photo for their family out of state and figured it would be a good time to update their photos as well. They decided on doing outdoor family portraits at Scottsdale Civic Center. I love how they coordinated their outfits to fit the pregnancy announcement!
They went all out for Zian’s one year birthday party!! The cake was amazing and the kids loved the balloon artist and face painter!
We started with a couple of family pictures and then let Zian have fun with his cake smash!! It took him a few minutes to really dig in, but once he took a taste he was all for it!!
Every family session they do, we try to do a different look. The one thing we haven’t done yet is a desert family session. I think the desert can make an amazing backdrop in the right light!
They originally wanted a beach maternity session. As we got closer, they thought about adding another location to add in some flowers. So we started out at Torrey Pines where the fields were filled with gorgeous yellow flowers and then we headed down to Windansea beach. The beach was extremely cold and windy, but they were great sports about it!
Jannae’s sister had a first look photo session before the wedding and she loved the idea. So we scheduled a session to take some before wedding photos once she had her dress ready to go. It was such a great idea to get some more photos in their outfits in a different setting other than just at the wedding venue!
I’ve photographed quite a few events for the Watson’s and was extremely excited to take a lifestyle family session for them with their new adorable baby girl!! An epic rain storm came through southern California when we had the session originally scheduled, but we were lucky that I had an opening the following weekend! It was scheduled to rain again, but we got lucky and got a little sunshine in between the clouds!
I love winter in Phoenix, it makes this outdoor portrait session look like it was in the fall. 🙂 We started out with the traditional portraits, then had lots of fun with the rest of the photos. The fun ones are always my favorite, they really show everyone’s different personality.
