Jannae and Kevin had a gorgeous whimsical garden wedding at Twin Oaks House & Garden Estate!! They love alternative type photos, so we played around with a little infrared photography. I love the way infrared photography looks, but I know it’s not for everyone. A garden setting like this one makes for great infrared photos though! They have spent the last year making the lawn games for their wedding. I know it was a lot of work, but they turned out great and the guests really loved them!

Sarah and Grant had a western themed rustic wedding at Desert Foothills Wedding Venue! She borrowed an old car from a family member to take her from the hotel to the ceremony and her brother parked it right at the end of the aisle. I love old cars, so I was really excited to be able to take some photos with it! Their wedding officiant dressed and acted like the one from Princess Bride, it was super fun!! We only took a few photos of Sarah and Grant during cocktail hour. So when we came out for sunset photos, we took quite a few photos with the car as well. Her father passed away, so for the parent dance, she started dancing with her brother, then danced with multiple uncles and finished her dance dancing with her new father in law. The gorgeous cake was provided by My Goodness Cakes! Push Play Entertainment did an amazing job keeping the dance floor packed all night!! Heleana from Above & Beyond Weddings and Events did a great job organizing and keeping everything running smoothly on the day of the wedding!

Lila and Tony had a gorgeous and elegant spring Coronado wedding at Loews Coronado!! After their tea ceremony, they changed into their wedding attire and we did the first look and got some photos done before the ceremony. All day it threatened to rain and had become extremely cold, so we did all of their photos inside. The rain held out though and they an amazing ceremony overlooking the bay! We headed over to the Coronado Community Center for their reception. Some of their guests are part of a dance crew and they surprised them with an awesome performance!!

They started their wedding with a tea ceremony in one of the rooms at the gorgeous Loews Coronado!! I’ve photographed tea ceremonies before, but this was the first full-blown tea ceremony that I’ve ever seen. I really enjoyed watching all of the different traditions!

Diana and Matt had an urban wedding in downtown Mesa. Matt plays in a band and they both love music. Instead of a guest book, they had people sign records. Definitely one of the coolest guest book ideas that I’ve seen. Diana surprised Matt with a back to the future cake topper! They had the dancing on clouds for their first dance and they didn’t realize how much “clouds” there would be. Their reaction was pretty awesome! Diana also surprised her dad during their dance together. It started out with a slow song and then a little way in, it turned into the chicken dance. Her dad was super happy and had a great time dancing to the chicken dance with his daughter.

Jon is an umpire for local baseball games and Marci also loves baseball. So a baseball themed wedding was the perfect wedding!! The first look was quite emotional, I haven’t seen a groom that emotional about seeing his bride for the first time. He even cried when she walked down the aisle! The bouquet that she threw to the single ladies even looked like a baseball and instead of throwing it over her head, she threw it like a pitch! 🙂

Curtis and Laura are good friends of mine and I was very excited when they asked me to photograph their downtown urban wedding! Curtis is an amazing DJ and they planned their wedding around a wedding industry event. The wedding was a surprise for the guests of the event. We started with a first look before the sun went down and did all of their photos ahead of time and the wedding was on stage towards the end of the event.  Curtis sang the song that Laura walked down the aisle to, it was pretty awesome! Curtis’s brother in law was the officiant and the few friends and family that they invited had front row seats for the event. After the ceremony, they had their first dance, then Curtis’s son gave them a toast, then a few of the guests came on stage to dance and enjoy the rest of the event. It was a small and short event, but perfect in so many ways!

Jordan and Frank had a fun wedding at the gorgeous Trilogy at Vistancia’s Kiva Club! Jordan did a first look with both Frank and her dad. It’s great when the bride’s dad loves to be involved too and the first look is almost always an amazing emotional moment whether it’s with dad and bride or the wedding couple! They started their first dance with a nice slow song, but that didn’t last long! They broke out into a fun fast paced dance and had the crowd cheering for them! Then right after dinner, the boys surprised Jordan and the guests with an awesome dance! Curtis Whipple did an awesome job with all of the transitions and keeping the party going all night! Michelle with The Crazy Daisies did an amazing job on the flowers!! I love the floral design at the ceremony site too! I used my infrared camera for a couple of photos at the ceremony. I love infrared photos and love when clients like them as well!

They had an elegant golf course wedding at the gorgeous Trilogy at Vistancia’s Kiva Club!! I love that she did a first look with her family first and then with Shawn! We snuck out close to the end of my coverage and did a few night photos and one with their giant love sign in the reception. That love sign was amazing and I loved all of her decorations! Flowers by Jodi did an amazing job as usual! Blue Eyes Productions did an amazing job capturing all of the amazing moments!! Amanda Victoria Beauty did an awesome job on the hair and makeup! Push Play Entertainment did their normal awesome job of keeping the party going!
