Here are a couple of the magazine pages:

They met in Copenhagen and kept up a long distance relationship for a few years. They had a very small ceremony in Copenhagen, but decided it was time to have a ceremony and celebration with wedding traditions. They decided to have it in Phoenix since that’s where they got engaged. This was my first Danish wedding and the biggest difference is their first dance, called Brudevalsen. The guests form a circle around them during their first dance and slowly close in on them. Close to the end of the song, they pick the groom up and cut off a corner of his sock. They had their wedding at The Secret Garden, which is a great venue with lots of shade. Everyone was thankful for that since it was July. Renee from Fred’s Flowers did an amazing job on the flowers and Jimmy from Starz Entertainment kept the party going with both a mix of American music and Danish music!

They had a gorgeous downtown Monrovia wedding at the Monrovian Family Restaurant! They were supposed to have their ceremony close by off of a trailhead, but the fires in the area made it so they could no longer have it there. It still turned out nice inside the Embassy Suites though, just a different look than they were going for. I loved all of the rustic details they had for their ceremony and reception! We actually photographed Andrew’s brother’s wedding back in April, so there were quite a few familiar faces at this one and they loved to dance too!! DJ Keelez kept the party going all night!

This Balboa Park Wedding was filled with lots of love and laughter! Syd surprised Megan with a toast to her after all of the other toasts were done and there wasn’t a dry eye in the reception! It was a gorgeous day for this entirely outside wedding! Instead of a cake, they brought in an ice cream food truck. That’s the first time I’ve seen that and thought it was pretty fun!

Their small intimate wedding started at St. Patrick’s Catholic Community Church with some getting ready and a full Catholic Ceremony. We then headed over to Starfire Golf Club for photos. They also had their reception there, but the most important photos to them were of the ceremony, family, wedding party and their photos. So my coverage ended right before the reception started. It threatened rain all day, but we got lucky it didn’t start down pouring until right before the reception when they were all heading inside. They did one of the most fun jumping shots that I’ve seen in awhile, everyone looked pretty believable!!

They had an indoor Catholic ceremony at Good Shepherd Catholic Church and then had a gorgeous outside reception at Hilton San Diego Resort and Spa! The church had these gorgeous windows that we couldn’t pass up taking pictures at and the Hilton had amazing picture opportunities almost every where we looked! One of the best men is a magician and put on a show for everyone at the reception! I thought that was pretty cool! Here are the photos from Rachel and Tuan’s awesome San Diego outdoor wedding!!

Rachel and Tuan had a casual tea ceremony the night before their wedding before heading out to their rehearsal dinner. This was my first tea ceremony and I loved learning about the traditions and watching the events happen.

I photographed Nicole and Nick’s 5th wedding anniversary party. So when it came time for their vow renewal on their 10th anniversary, I was excited and honored that they called me! The love between these two is amazing! There were tears in their eyes while she walked down the aisle and the romantic first dance was awesome! They wanted their ceremony outside, but the rain started right when the ceremony was about to begin. So we quickly moved all of the chairs inside instead. Dionne from Dionne Event Productions kept it all flowing smoothly even through the rain! Thankfully the Jewish Historical Society has the option of an indoor ceremony!

Veronica and Brandon had an amazing desert wedding in Mesa and Apache Junction! On our way between the ceremony at Queen of Peace Catholic Church and the reception at The Paseo we stopped on a road and waited in between cars to get a few photos of the Superstition Mountains behind them on what looked like a deserted road. Those are some of my favorites photos from the wedding! Graceful Cake Creations did an amazing job on the cake and groom’s cake. Veronica surprised Brandon with a Marine groom’s cake. Right after we got to the reception site, it started down pouring so we decided to start the reception early and did a few more pictures during dinner once the storm cleared a little. We were lucky enough to get a small sunset even with the storm clouds! Lauren from Mint Hair Studio did an amazing job on Veronica’s hair, I loved the vintage style! Veronica actually did all of the flowers herself and they turned out amazing! Push Play Entertainment kept the party rocking all night, they even added on an extra hour!!
